Louise & Kyle in Guilderland, NY

Louise & Kyle in Guilderland, NY
Louise and Kyle drew inspiration from the autumn season for their wedding in Guilderland, New York.

Location: Pinehaven Country Club, Guilderland
The couple exchanged traditional Catholic vows in Louise’s childhood church.
Louise achieved her Greek goddess look with a halter, empire-waist gown by Demetrios. She accessorized with a Mediterranean-style veil embellished with scrollwork.
Louise’s one matron of honor (her cousin) wore a burgundy dress by Demetrios.
Louise and Kyle celebrated their union before a lush green golf course with a backdrop of fall-color trees.
Louise and Kyle sliced into a three-tier white cake finished with strawberries and whipped cream. Flowers and scroll work on the frosting made a stylish statement.
After seeing Elton John perform, the couple had a new favorite song -- “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me” – which they chose for their first dance.
With a love of fall colors and a wedding date set for October, Louise and Kyle chose shades of orange, reds, and browns to stylishly pull together a seasonal affair.

The Date October 15

At an annual fete thrown by a mutual friend at the Glen Sanders Mansion, Louise and Kyle met. Soon after, they fell in love, and Kyle proposed in their apartment by slipping a ring box next to her plate at dinner.

Thanks to TheKnot.com, Louise was able to do all of the planning herself. With an October wedding date set, the bride-to-be got inspired by the season. "It was fall and I really love the mix of fall colors," she explains. "I told the florist to pretend to put the colors of the trees right into the bouquets and centerpieces."
